スウェーデンから５月のレターが届きました

「HI。いよいよ種まきや植え込みの時期がきました。スウェーデンでは多くの人が忙しくバルコニーや庭に種まきや植え込みをしています。室内で発芽させた苗を屋外のプランターや庭に植え替える準備も万端です。いよいよ本格的な季節の始まりです！

先日私はヴァルデマーシュッデ（Waldemarsudde）というストックホルムの中心にある植物園にいってきました。ここでは年間を通して様々な植物が栽培されています。その中でも特にペラルゴニウムが彼らの得意とする植物で、50以上の種が温室で栽培されています。とても素敵な場所なので、ストックホルムにいらしたときは是非訪れてみてください。

さて、母の日が世界中であると思いますが、スウェーデンでは5月の最終日曜日が母の日なのです。

Hi! Now everyone is very busy sowing and planting in their gardens and on their balconies. Seeds that was sown indoors are now prepared to be planted outdoors.

Yesterday I was at a museum 'Waldemarsudde' in center of Stockholm where they grow all of their plants all year round. Their favorite plant is pelargonium and they have more than 50 old varieties in their greenhouses. I is a beautiful place that I can recommend to visit if you come to Stockholm.

Here in Sweden Mothers Day is the last Sunday of May and very many people are buying Guldkannan Towa, a very popular gift to mother since many years.

One of my favorite products for this season is the Minigarden vertical that I use to grow my herbs. You can grow a lot in a small space both indorrs iand outdoors and it looks lovely!
